It takes a moment before she's back to normal, and she wobbles a bit afterwards as she's exposed to her full emotional state again for a moment before she finds her balance again. It's impressive, actually, that she can manage her emotional pain so instinctively. One wonders how long it would have taken to learn that. "Emotivore ... so like a northern wendigo, right?" Tality raises an eyebrow, now seeing the obvious connection. She's ... prototyped some desserts made out of wendigos for her new omnivorous restaurant concept, but has a feeling that's not really going to be sustainable. She's actually afraid to let anyone taste it because it's so good it could cause them to be hunted to extinction. If Icy Creation is a wendigo hybrid than she's gonna have to just chuck that right out the window. No way she's putting a pony in danger for her restaurant. Regardless, she's butchered enough to recognize the similarities. "Huh. Fascinating," she muttered, her pupils changing shape a bit as they focus in on the cube, gathering more information and trying to parse out what Icy Creation's working on. Tality's not truly a scientist at heart, but she has a strong machine intuition gleaned from growing up immersed in patchwork blends of magic and technology, and being responsible for repairing their underground infrastructure under fire once the bioweapon got bad. A wealth of experience and experimentation since then has left her well-equipped to understand esoteric technology. ...but it doesn't take her long to conclude she's completely out of her depth. Magic has never been her strong suit. Except earth pony magic, which she absolutely dominates at. She's not actually all that great at growing plants. She had better uses for it. Well, she may as well start on building a lab. First thing you need on a good underground lab is a nice, big, diagonal elevator, then some big wide bunker corridors. She reaches out with her roots, extending her earth pony grip through her hooves and deep into the snow, soil, aquifer and bedrock, searching for natural caverns and planning out a good spot. She then stomps the ground a few times, sending pulses of earth magic down into the earth to fracture the bedrock in a few places. Sometime later, five to fifteen minutes or so, she taps Icy Creation on the shoulder. "Hey, uh. How big you need your workshops to be?" Behind Tality lays a massive open pit leading down into the earth and a few hundred stacks of semicircular stone slabs each about thirty by thirty by five feet.
