This is the beastman world of Luna Fracta, once known by another name long forgotten and once protected by the Goddess Diana who loved her people very much but after ensuring the world was now thriving peacefully, she fell into a peaceful slumber.
This world was a peaceful planet full of green fields and blue oceans, the people of the world lived in all corners of their planet and thrived happily without a care beyond their own basic needs. It wasnt until the day of the Falling that the world changed forever.
From the deep voids of space, asteroids and space rocks of all sizes rained down on the planet destroying one fourth of the planets surface, the people of the world held together as they tried to help one another but the true suffering was only about to begin.
From the space rocks that landed onto the planet, ravenous insect like creatures emerged and began to devour everything in their path , plant and animal life alike, all became food to the bugs. The bugs who only grew larger the more that they ate.
The green of the world turned to dust, the oceans became dark and teeming with danger, lone settlers and small cities fell to the waves of bugs, only when the people barricaded themselves behind giant walls of stone kingdoms and fought together did they delay their own extinction.
The Moon Goddess awoke to the screaming payers of her people, but as she came out of her slumber a giant asteroid slammed into the moon shattering it and nearly killing the Moon Goddess, this was known as Fracta day, the debris from the moon would have destroyed the planet, so with her remaining strength she held the largest parts of the moon together though it still remained broken. The smaller pieces that she could not pull she enchanted to fall onto the planet as a gift and a weapon for her children.
From that day on, there were those who were born with special abilities, they were called the blessed and their abilities were called blessings. Blessings had to be discovered in an academy where a blessed individual that can identify blessings would reside and blessings didnt always come to manifest in supernatural abilities, some blessings allowed the blessed to become very intelligent, this allowed the kingdoms to advance rapidly, to create technology that helped them fight against the ever growing threat of the bugs and to assist the blessed who were trained and taught to fight against the hordes. These blessed were the front lines of defense as well as the last line. They were the strongest and most capable who were sent out on dangerous missions to quell the hordes or to communicate with other safe havens in their efforts to find a way to defeat the bugs.
But before they stood in the front lines, the blessed had to learn how to become the best, and here in the safe haven of Monros, the Acedemy named Resistentia Ad Lunam, or RAL, those blessed individuals were sent to discover and hone their skills, and to learn how to protect what was left of the world.
The moon goddess then left her hopes in the clawed hands of her children and with what remaining debris of the moon she created a smaller moon where she fell into a deep slumber to heal and regain her strength, hoping that when she awoke, her children would still be there to save.
